Little Bird School of Song is where children and adults can sing, dance, be silly, and play provided instruments together – all while incorporating educational elements of music theory, Spanish, and empowered individual creativity! During the weekly one-hour sessions, you and your child will be invited to participate in community with a varied mix of original and traditional songs. The focus is on having fun, promoting positive messages of peace and self-acceptance and fostering the joy of being mindfully “in the moment” with the people you love.
Miriam Pico is a professional, touring singer/songwriter who has been empowering and educating children through music and songwriting since 1999. A former preschool teacher, nanny, and mother of three, she is passionate about providing opportunities for families to bond and make memories as they make music.
This musical presentation is sponsored in part by the Leelanau Community Cultural Center, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Edmund F & Virginia B Ball Foundation.
