The Leelanau Historical Society Museum was launched in 1957 to preserve and share the history of Leelanau County to inspire others to explore and interpret the past for future generations to learn and appreciate.

Find handmade gifts, jewelry, cards and local topic books in the Museum shop. Located on the Leland River, behind the Old Art Building, next to the Leland Library.

Museum & Gift Shop Hours– June 1st-September 14th: Tue-Fri 10-4, Sat 10-2, All other times of the year please call for current hours.
Admission– $3/person, $5/couple, $10/family, Children and Members Free
Research in the Archives by appointment only, please call the Curator, Kim, at 231-256-7475.
