This boat launch is suitable for Carry-In boats only. Caution is needed when traversing South Bar Lake from South to North in that there are submerged pilings from a railroad trestle that used to go across the lake from east to west. Many of these pilings are just below the surface of the lake. This launch is part of the Empire beach park which has heavy usage during the summer season so parking may be unavailable immediately adjacent to the launch. Public Restroom facilities are available within the beach park.
