Vivaldi composed his famous double trumpet concerto in the 1720's in Venice, Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto

for Two Trumpets in C major, RV 537, and the BASO is proud to present this virtuosic work with soloists Jim Bekkering, President of the Board of Directors and Principal Trumpet with the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra, and Ken Larson, Faculty at the Interlochen Arts Academy and Principal Trumpet and soloist with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.

Also, on the program are the comedic opera, Barber of Seville by Rossini, Overture to Nabucco from Verdi's popular opera, and Robert Russell Bennett's Victory at Sea, music from the documentary television series.

The BASO is excited to perform again at the Northport Performing Arts Center and present this program for the community.
